RENOVATIONS

On June 1, 2009, renovations will begin on the ADA approved restrooms in the Community Center. 

During the renovations, the restrooms in the Community Center will not be accessible.  The restrooms at Pool 1 and the Lounge will be available for any functions at the Community Center Complex.

The staff previously located in Bldg. B is now in the building near the Shopping Center next to the Barefoot Bay Water & Sewer office (formerly known as the Youth Center) at 931 Barefoot Blvd.

RV & BOAT STORAGE SPACE AVAILABLE

Barefoot Bay Rec. District currently has 30 spaces available for lease to residents for storage of RV's and boats.  The cost per space is $30 plus tax per month.

The Barefoot Bay Mobile Home Park Recreation District has two (2) offices to be filled by election in 2009.

Qualifying for candidates will begin at noon, August 24th and end at noon, August 28th.  For candidates who wish to qualify by the petition method instead of paying the $25.00 qualifying fee, the number of petitions required will be 25.  Signed petitions must be submitted to us prior to noon of the 28th day preceding the 1st day of qualifying which is July 27, 2009.

Candidate packets may be obtained by calling me at 952-4700 extension 46746 or in person from our Palm Bay office.  If you wish to pick them up in Palm Bay, it is suggested you call the office to make sure of the availability of the packets.

RECREATION DISTRICT MEETING INFORMATION

The Space Coast Government Television stations
(Channels 01 or 199) are broadcasting the taped meetings of Recreation District Board of Trustees at the following new days and times:

Wednesdays at 9:00am
Thursdays at 3:00am
Saturdays at 6:00pm

To view the BBRD Board of Trustees meetings, you must have digital cable (channel 01 or 199).  If you do not have digital cable, please contact Bright House Networks for more information.
