BAREFOOT BAY JUNIOR GOLF PROGRAM AGENDA

 WEEK #1  Beginners Week   (Junior golfers over 10 years old that were in the program last year can come out and practice or play on the course.)

Tues. June 10      2:00 to 4:00.   Meet at 2:00 on the Pro Shop patio for an orientation to the program.  There will a lesson on etiquette, courtesy on the course, consideration of other players, safety on the course, and  care of the course.   Following this all those in the class that need clubs will be fitted for proper fit. 

Wed. June 11      2:00 to 4:00.   Meet at 2:00 near the practice green for lessons in Putting and Chipping.    Then we will head out to practice range for a lesson on range safety, an orientation to the golf swing, and practicing of the swing, hitting balls.        

WEEK #2 All Junior Golfers

Tues. June 17      2:00 to 4:00.    Meet at 2:00 on the Pro Shop patio for an orientation to the program.  There will a lesson on etiquette, courtesy on the course, consideration of other players, safety on the course, and  care of the course.   Then we will head out to practice range for a lesson on range safety, an orientation to the golf swing, and practicing of the swing, hitting balls.                

Wed. June 18     2:00 to 4:00.   Meet at 2:00 near the practice green for lessons in Putting, Chipping, and Sand Traps. We will then discuss and demonstrate the following rules:   (1) The Game,  (2) The Order of Play,  (3) Playing the Ball,  (4) The Putting Green,  (5) Relief Situations and Procedures, and  (6) The Teeing Ground. 

WEEK #3

Tue. June 24       2:00 to 4:00.     Meet at 2:00 on the Pro Shop porch.  Make-up day for those that may have missed any of the first sessions.  Practice day for all others.

Wed. June 25     Meet at 2:00 at the Pro Shop.   We will organize to play a practice round of golf.  During the round, we will help individuals having problems with their swing, and watch carefully for Etiquette, Rules, and Safety violations.
              The oldest Juniors will Tee Off First.  Play will continue until 4:00 .  The class will proceed to D&E  building for review of the day’s activities and refreshments until 4:30. 

WEEK #4   

Tues. July 1    - CLINIC                  2:00 to 4:00

Wed. July 2  - TOURNAMENT #1           Schedule for Tournament Play:

             *Arrive at the Golf Course and check in no later than 20 minutes before your scheduled time in order to be included in the Tournaments.

Tee times begin at 1:00, with the most experienced golfers going first.

Depending on skill, golfers may play up or down in age groups.   All golfers’ tee times will be posted on the Tuesday prior to the tournament.

At 4:00 golfers will finish the hole that they are on and head to the clubhouse for refreshments and the announcement of tournament results.

Tues. July 8    - CLINIC                    2:00 to 4:00

Wed. July 9    - TOURNAMENT #2……Same Format as Tournament #1

WEEK #6

Tues. July 15      - CLINIC                  2:00 to 4:00

Wed. July  16      - TOURNAMENT #3……Same Format as Tournament #1

WEEK #7

Tues. July 22     - CLINIC                 2:00 to 4:00

Wed. July 23     - TOURNAMENT #4……Same Format as Tournament #1

WEEK #8

Tues. July 29     - CLINIC                 2:00 to 4:00

Wed. July 30     - TOURNAMENT #5……Same Format as Tournament #1             

  WEEK #9

Tues. Aug. 5     - CLINIC                 2:00 to 4:00

Wed. Aug. 6     - TOURNAMENT #6……Same Format as Tournament #1            

WEEK #10

Tues. Aug 12     - Special Tournament           Special Format TBA

Wed. Aug. 13     -  AWARDS CERMONY AND BANQUET - begins at 1:00
