BAREFOOT BAY GOLF COMMITTEE
BY-LAWS

                                                                        Article I

            Name:

                        The name of this organization shall be the Barefoot Bay Golf Committee.

            Membership:

1. Be comprised of five (5) full time Golf Members:
   Two (2) Ladies
   Two (2) Men
   Fifth Member may be of either sex.

2. Candidates must be permanent residents of Barefoot Bay.

3. Serving in an advisory capacity, shall be the following:
   Golf Pro, Golf Shop Manager, Course Superintendent and Community Manager.

4.   Any elected member of the committee who fails to attend three (3) consecutive meetings without being excused shall be automatically removed.  That member shall be notified.

                                                                        Article III 

            Elections:

1. Nominations shall be by submitting their name the first full two (2) weeks inNovember.

2. Voting will be the first two (2) weeks in December.

3. Simple majority will win.

4. Members elected, will begin their two (2) year term of office at the first January meeting.
   Terms:  Begin in January and end in December of the second year of elected terms.

5. At the January meeting, golf committee members shall elect a Chairman & Secretary.

6. Chairman will serve no longer that two consecutive years.

                                                                          Article IV

            Duties of Committee:

• Hear grievances and suggestions.

• Resolve scheduling conflicts.

• Resolve starting time problems.

• Have contact with the Golf Professional and the Course Superintendent.

• Meet with the Golf Professional in the Fall of each year and make recommendations regarding improvements to the Golf Course.  These recommendations will be submitted to the Community Manager for consideration no later than January for the budget for the     following year.  This will be done on a yearly basis.

• See that golf etiquette is observed:  (a) Courtesy..(b) Rules and..(c) Proper Attire.

• Work with Men's and Ladies Golf Associations.

• Advise, interpret and recommend amendments to the rules and regulations of the Golf Course.

                                                                        Article V

            Vacancies:

• Members of the Golf Course will be advised regarding a vacancy.

• Members interested in serving will be given two (2) weeks, from the date of notice to submit a signed letter in the suggestion box located in Golf Shop.

• Chairman of the Golf Committee will contact those interested to appear at the next Golf Committee meeting.

• Committee members will vote for one of the applicants.  All applicants will be advise of applicant selected as soon as possible.

• If there are no applicants, the committee will appoint a member of the Golf Course to fill the vacancy   .The newly appointed member shall serve for the duration of the unexpired term
